The Journey

Discovery

Building Awareness

Your journey begins with an initial session designed to explore your problem and goals. We will carry out a thorough assessment of your current health conditions and the identification of three functional goals. This is followed by an introduction to Yogic practices, philosophy, breathwork (Pranayama), meditation, and gentle poses. These practices help you build awareness, focus, and a strong connection between mind and body.

Foundation

Landing into acceptance

The objective of this stage is to cultivate body awareness, introduce foundational yoga poses, and establish a harmonious connection between breath and mind. Gentle movements and basic poses create space and stability within the body, while dynamic breathing exercises help regulate the nervous system and deepen the connection between body and breath. An easy-to-follow meditation practice fosters mental clarity and awareness. This stage lays a strong foundation for embracing where you are in your journey and begins the groundwork for sustainable health.

Adaptation

Strengthening understanding and resilience

As you strengthen your mind-body connection and adapt to new lifestyle habits the poses will become more dynamic and challenging. As you progress through functional movements and enhanced breath control techniques, you will build resilience to navigate challenges that arise, empowering you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself to embrace growth - in the holistic sense!

Integration

Commitment to change

What we take in each day - from the food we eat, to the information we absorb in the morning, or the quality of our sleep - has a big impact on our healing. This stage is about bringing together everything you learned about yourself and integrating those new habits into your daily life. By connecting your physical recovery with your emotional well-being, you are taking an important step toward lasting change. We will start to incorporate community support and other holistic approaches to help make healing a natural part of your routine. This is you commitment to sustainable health.

Reflection

Changing perspectives

In the final stage, all learned elements are combined into flowing sequences that integrate breath and movement, encouraging fluidity and balance. Extended meditation sessions facilitate deeper mental relaxation and emotional grounding, while a progress review, celebrates achievements. This stage provides a clear, actionable plan to maintain consistency in your practice, empowering you to integrate mindfulness and movement into your daily life for ongoing health and balance.

Consistency for Best Results

The above program is designed to build strong foundations, but the best results are achieved with consistency over a six-month period. Evidence suggests that yoga practiced three times a week effectively supports chronic conditions and reduces pain significantly. Clients are encouraged to practice on their own twice a week during the program, incorporating:

5 minutes of meditation

15 mins gentle stretching

5 yoga poses to practice daily

Alternatively we can find you a community group, or online 1:1 sessions with me are available.
